False alert: Man from Hunedoara threatens to detonate Cluj Arena stadium

The police in Cluj-Napoca received a call on Monday from a man who announced that the Cluj Arena stadium is set to be detonated. The call was made at 15:40, and following the report, the authorities began investigations.

With the help of specialized structures, investigators managed to locate the suspect, a 31-year-old man from Hunedoara County, on a train in Brașov County, in the commune of Măieruș. The police mobilized teams from the Cluj and Brașov Regional Transport Police to apprehend the suspect.

He was taken to the police station to undergo necessary checks and to take appropriate legal measures. Authorities continue investigations to clarify the circumstances of the call.
