A malfunction in the thermal energy production facility at CET Palas has led to the total shutdown of the heating system in the municipality of Constanța, starting from midnight. The Constanța power plant announced that intervention works are necessary, which requires the suspension of heat and hot water supply to Termoficare Constanța and all consumers connected to the system.

The company specified that, after the malfunction is resolved, the facilities will be filled and the transport pipelines will be charged. Official estimates indicate a gradual resumption of heat supply on Friday morning. The distribution operator has been notified regarding the situation.
