Meteorologists have announced that the cold wave will last until Wednesday, January 21, and have issued yellow warnings for several areas in the country.

On Friday, the frost will be felt especially in the north and east of Moldova, and at night it will affect more than half of the counties, with minimum temperatures between -19 and -10 degrees. The weather will be particularly cold, with general minimum temperatures between -18 and -8 degrees. In the north and center of Moldova, the frost will persist, and on Friday and Saturday mixed precipitation will be recorded, with risks of ice and glaze. The wind will have temporary intensifications in the south of Banat and in the mountainous areas, with speeds of 40-60 km/h. During the period of January 16-17, the weather will be frosty in Moldova, Dobrogea, Muntenia, and Transylvania, with the lowest temperatures in the north of Moldova.
