A drone entered Bulgarian airspace from Romania on Saturday morning and exploded approximately 100 meters inside Bulgarian territory, according to Prime Minister Rumen Radev. The incident occurred near the former border crossing point of Kardam, located at the border between the two countries, and about 1,000 meters from a gas compression station on the Trans-Balkan pipeline.

The drone crashed into a sunflower field, and the area was isolated by authorities to manage the incident. Prime Minister Radev confirmed that no casualties or damage to infrastructure have been reported, emphasizing the importance of the rapid intervention by the authorities.
