The Europol union has reacted vehemently to the IGPR's decision to send the Internal Control Directorate for checks at the IPJ Caraș-Severin, following an incident of assault on a police officer. The trade unionists believe that these checks are illegal and that the requests for access to the body-cam recordings are unjustified, as downloading them requires central IGPR approval. They also point out that the IPJ Caras-Severin has already requested authorization to use these recordings as evidence in the criminal case. The incident took place when a policeman intervened on a motorbike driven by a minor under the influence of alcohol, who was subsequently attacked by villagers.
