The truth, sources: European Prosecutors are conducting searches at the Ilfov County Council and at the Ilfov County Emergency Clinical Hospital, regarding suspicions of fraud with European funds.

The European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO), led by Laura Codruța Kövesi, launched searches on Tuesday at the Ilfov County Council, led by Hubert Thuma, and at the Ilfov County Emergency Clinical Hospital, subordinate to it.

The investigation focuses on suspicions of fraud related to European funds amounting to approximately 4 million euros, intended for the purchase of medical equipment and materials through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

So far, there is no clear information regarding the involvement of the president of the Ilfov County Council, Hubert Thuma, in this case, and the European Prosecutor's Office has not disclosed the names of the individuals or institutions involved in the investigation.
