INS: The total available energy resources in Romania in 2024 amounted to 42 million tons of oil equivalent, a level similar to the previous year.

"The total energy resources available in 2024 recorded a slight decrease compared to those in 2023 (- 4,000 toe); compared to the previous year, primary energy production decreased by 3.9%, imports of energy resources increased by 6.2%, gross domestic energy consumption increased by 0.3%, and final energy consumption recorded an increase of 0.4%. The total energy resources available in 2024 amounted to 42 million tons of oil equivalent (toe), a level comparable to 2023, maintained by the increase in imports by 6.2% and the decrease in primary energy production and the stock of energy resources at the beginning of the year," shows INS data.
