The Energy Ministry has declared an emergency due to crude oil contamination at Turkey's Ceyhan terminal, authorizing the release of 80,000 tons of crude oil and 30,000 tons of diesel from emergency stocks.

The contamination incident has affected a shipment of crude oil from Azerbaijan destined for the Petrobrazi refinery, leading to a temporary shortage of the raw material. The energy ministry has issued an order recognizing the local crisis and allowing the release of emergency stocks by OMV Petrom, which is obliged to replenish stocks within two months.
