During a press conference held at the Elysee Palace, Dan emphasized the importance of bilateral relations, mentioning that France has a long history with Romania and a promising future together.
Macron highlighted that French investments in Romania are strategic and long-term, referring to projects in the defense sector, such as IAR Ghimbav, and the interest of a French company to invest in energy in Tarnița. Nicușor Dan discussed business opportunities with representatives of French companies and announced the organization of a business forum in Bucharest next year.
This is Nicușor Dan's first official visit to France, where he was received with honors by Macron.
