Emergency evacuated tenants after a fire broke out in a building in Bucharest

A strong fire broke out on Saturday evening on the 3rd floor of a building on Radovanu Street, in Sector 2 of the Capital, causing panic among residents. Firefighters and ambulances were quickly mobilized to the scene, and the intervention is currently ongoing. Residents have been evacuated and are waiting on the street for the intervention to be completed. The flames generated a strong smell of smoke, felt in all apartments in the area.

Search and rescue teams have been formed to check if there are any people trapped inside. So far, six people have been taken by medical teams, three of whom were transported to the hospital for care after inhaling smoke. The firefighters' intervention continues, and the authorities will investigate the cause of the fire after it has been extinguished.
