The company Dante International SA, which operates the eMAG platform, has announced a reduction of the team by approximately 3%, which will affect about 100 employees out of a total of 3,191, according to financial data from 2024. eMAG representatives explained that this restructuring is a necessary measure in the context of the company's accelerated growth in recent years and the desire to build a sustainable long-term business model.

The eMAG ecosystem has reached over 11 million downloads of the application, approximately 7 million customers, and over 64,000 active sellers, which imposes the responsibility of efficient organization. Although the reorganization will not change the development strategy of the platform in Southeast Europe, the company recognizes the high growth potential of online commerce, which represents only 11% of the total retail market in the region. eMAG has ensured that employees affected by layoffs will receive support during the transition period.
