Electrica issued a 5-year green bond with a competitive interest rate of 4.566% and a BBB- rating from Fitch Ratings. Investor demand outstripped supply by 11.5 times, a record for Romanian corporate issues. The funds raised will be used to develop renewable energy and energy storage, according to the company's Green Finance Framework. The issue will be listed on the Luxembourg and Bucharest stock exchanges. Electrica, a key player in the Romanian energy sector, benefits from the support of the European Investment Bank for its strategic projects.
