On October 7, 2025, Mihai Daraban, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, had a meeting with the governor of the Mangystau region, Kilybai Nurdaulet, to sign an economic cooperation agreement. This partnership aims to strengthen economic relations and facilitate access for investors from Kazakhstan to the Port of Constanta, which is proving to be a regional hub due to its unique infrastructure. The port, connected to the Danube-Black Sea Canal, offers opportunities for trilateral development with China, recognizing the expertise of operators in Constanta.
