On Tuesday, firefighters were mobilized to extinguish a powerful dry vegetation fire near Berceni, on the border of Ilfov and Giurgiu counties. The blaze covers an area of about 40 hectares and dense smoke is visible from a distance. The fire was localized in the area of Vărăști, Berceni and Frumușani. The wind is complicating the situation, favoring the spread of the fire. Seventeen fire engines were sent to deal with the fire.
