A 50-year-old driver hit four cars parked in Sibiu and damaged a gas pipe

A 50-year-old man from Sibiu was injured this morning after losing control of his car and hitting four vehicles parked on Octavian Goga Street in the city. The accident occurred at around 4:00 a.m., and a breathalyzer test indicated 0.95 mg/l of pure alcohol in his exhaled breath.

Officers from the Sibiu Traffic Bureau responded at the scene and determined during preliminary checks that the driver had apparently lost control of the direction of travel for reasons that remain to be clarified. The man suffered facial trauma in the collision and was taken to hospital for medical care.

The collision also damaged a gas pipe, requiring the intervention of specialist crews. A SMURD crew, an extrication vehicle and a fire engine were dispatched to the scene. Police are continuing their investigation to establish all the circumstances surrounding the accident and will take the appropriate legal measures.
