Drone discovered in a tree in Iași: authorities intervened urgently

A landowner in Iași County discovered a drone caught in a tree while he was replacing the boundary markers of his property. The incident took place in the Schit area of Valea Seacă, where the man initially noticed a polystyrene wing, followed by the drone hanging at the top of the tree. After notifying the authorities, teams from the Army, SRI, ISU, and the Police intervened on-site, isolating the area and lowering the drone, estimated to be about 2x2 meters. The checks continued until around 9:00 PM.

The owner stated that he initially thought it could be components from an aircraft, but decided to notify the Police to avoid any potential issues. Following the investigation, it was determined that the drone does not pose a danger to public safety, as no dangerous substances or materials were found, and no victims were reported. The device was taken for further investigation, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office next to the Iași Court of Appeal, in order to identify the owner.
