Drone attack on a Ukrainian cargo ship on the Chilia branch of the Danube / The drone was shot down by a Spanish F-18

On Monday morning, around 4 o'clock, a drone attack took place against a Ukrainian cargo ship located on the Chilia branch of the Danube, near the locality of Plauru. The attack generated a fire, observed by the locals in Plauru, who panicked and fled to the embankment, fearing an explosion. The fire was extinguished by Ukrainian teams around 6 o'clock.

The drone entered Romanian airspace from the Republic of Moldova, approximately 24 kilometers north of Galați. It was shot down by an F-18 aircraft of the Spanish Air and Space Forces, which was on an Air Policing mission at the "Mihail Kogălniceanu" Air Base.
