ISU Mureș intervened to save a person injured in an ATV accident in the Călimani Mountains

A tourist suffered a serious accident while riding an ATV on a mountain trail in the Călimani Mountains. Due to the rough terrain and access difficulties, rescuers requested the support of a SMURD helicopter for the evacuation of the victim.

The mountain rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene to provide first aid to the injured tourist. After stabilizing the victim, they were taken by the air medical crew and transported to the nearest hospital unit for specialized medical care. Authorities remind tourists to exercise maximum caution in mountain areas and to ensure they have the appropriate equipment for motorized activities on off-road trails.
