Dragos Pislaru, the Minister of European Funds, discussed the unlocking of funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and emphasized that, although he does not want to create hopes, he has received positive signals from Brussels.

Following the meeting with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Pislaru stated that Romania's arguments were heard and that the requested reform is important. Although Romania has missed the deadline for tranche 3, the minister mentioned that discussions about unlocking tranches 3 and 4 are essential for the economy. Pislaru expressed optimism, noting that Romania has presented solid arguments and that internal developments, such as the publication of the Constitutional Court's reasoning regarding judges' pensions, are important steps in this process.
