The owner of City Grill takes over Berăria Gambrinus in Bucharest to launch a venue aimed at young people.

Dragoș Petrescu, known for his City Grill restaurant group, has purchased the Gambrinus Brewery in the Cișmigiu area, a location with a rich history that was previously owned by Ion Luca Caragiale. Petrescu plans to develop a new concept aimed at Generation Z and Y, wanting to preserve the historical footprint of the brewery while transforming it into a modern and attractive place for young people.

Although Gambrinus was established in 1897 and has had several owners over time, including Caragiale, Petrescu aims for a revitalization that will respond to current consumer preferences. The brewery has survived the communist period, maintaining its name and tradition.
