USR Deputy Ștefan Tanasă submitted a legislative proposal to the Senate for the regulation of bathing areas on the Black Sea coast and on inland waters, aimed at protecting the life and integrity of individuals. The project provides for the delimitation of bathing areas, signaling the conditions for bathing, and the responsibilities of the administrators.
Mayors will establish annually the supervised areas and the period of supervision, and in the case of the coastline, it will extend up to 300 meters from the shore. Bathing outside these areas will be at the users' risk, but local authorities will remain responsible for failing to fulfill legal obligations. The project includes strict rules for signaling prohibitions and the presence of lifeguards, as well as penalties ranging from 500 to 30,000 lei for violating the regulations. The initiator emphasizes that the goal is not only to tighten penalties but also to create clear conditions for compliance with safety rules.
