Donald Trump would have been invited to the B9 Summit, scheduled for May 13 in Bucharest, according to sources cited by several publications in Romania.

This format brings together the countries on NATO's eastern flank and focuses on regional security and support for Ukraine. If Trump is unable to attend, it is expected that the head of American diplomacy, Marco Rubio, will replace him.

The B9 format was initiated in 2015 by Klaus Iohannis and former Polish President Andrzej Duda, in response to Russia's aggression, especially after the annexation of Crimea. The B9 Summit emphasizes the importance of cooperation among countries that were influenced by the former Soviet Union.
