The National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) has issued a warning regarding cyber attacks targeting users of courier services, especially during the online shopping period. Criminals send fake SMS messages, impersonating the identity of well-known services, such as FAN Courier, informing victims that they have a package and asking them to access a fake link. This link redirects users to a platform that mimics the real site, asking them to log in with their WhatsApp account.

Once the attackers gain access to the victim's account, they send messages to the victim's contacts, requesting loans under the pretext that they will return the money the same day. The accounts to which the money is transferred belong to the attackers, who pretend to be friends or acquaintances of the victim. DNSC provides security recommendations to prevent such attacks.
