DNA has initiated a criminal case following the complaint filed by Dragoș Vlad, the former head of the Authority for the Digitalization of Romania (ADR), against Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu and the Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău.
Vlad accuses repeated pressures to sign contracts with the Schwartz group of companies, which allegedly led to serious damages in the field of public procurement and risks of losing European funds. In his complaint, he mentions actions that led to the cancellation of an essential public procurement procedure for the digitalization of Romania. Vlad detailed the meetings with Darău and the repeated requests for collaboration with Schwartz, emphasizing that the services offered were already provided by another partner.
Oana Gheorghiu reacted, stating that the accusations are unfounded and that Vlad is trying to divert attention from his failures in the digitalization of the state. Irineu Darău claimed that Vlad is seeking revenge for his dismissal.
