On November 20, 2025, Distrigaz Sud Rețele interrupted the natural gas supply to the Grigore Cerchez Technical College in sector 4 of the Capital, after a gas smell was reported. The intervention team arrived at the scene and stopped the gas supply at 14:25, finding a defect at the regulation and measurement station.

Subsequent checks did not reveal gas leaks in the distribution network, but problems were identified in the external gas utilization installation. The resumption of supply will take place after the installation has been checked by an ANRE authorized operator, thus ensuring safe operating conditions. Distrigaz Sud Rețele is the main natural gas distributor in Romania, having an extensive network and a large number of customers.
