The resolution voted in the European Parliament aims to condemn Russia's provocative actions and the drone incidents that have affected Romania, the Baltic states, and Finland, in the context of security tensions at the eastern border of the European Union.
Among the Romanian MEPs, 17 voted in favor of the resolution, including names like Dan Barna and Gabriela Firea, while Diana Iovanovici Șoșoacă was the only one who voted against. No Romanian MEP was recorded as abstaining from the vote, and another 15 were not present.
The votes against mainly came from the sovereignist and eurosceptic groups, with important names like Harald Vilimsky and Irene Montero among those who opposed the resolution. Pro-European groups had no votes against, highlighting unity in the face of external challenges.
