MEP Diana Șoșoacă was summoned on Monday to the General Prosecutor's Office, where prosecutors want to subject her to a psychiatric evaluation in the context of allegations of legionary propaganda. Șoșoacă, accused of 11 offenses, including promoting fascist ideologies and denying the Holocaust, stated that this request represents an attempt at political execution.
At the Prosecutor's Office, she criticized the institutions, comparing them to Soviet ones, and demanded that those who accuse her also be subjected to an evaluation. Last week, she was heard in the European Parliament, where the lifting of her parliamentary immunity was discussed. Șoșoacă has been involved in previous controversies, including honoring Corneliu Zelea Codreanu and promoting the cult of Nicolae Ceaușescu. This situation continues to draw attention to her political activities and extremist positions.
