Two major fires are raging simultaneously in Giurgiu and Mehedinți counties, where firefighters are intervening with fire engines to control the blaze. In Giurgiu, a vegetation fire has affected 20 hectares and is heading towards a plastics factory, while in Mehedinți, flames are threatening households and a farm. The intervention is difficult due to strong winds and the authorities are reminding people not to burn dry vegetation.
