Devastating fire in Vrancea: 11 wooden houses were engulfed in flames

A strong fire broke out on Sunday in the locality of Rucăreni, in Vrancea County, affecting eleven wooden houses. According to information provided by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the flames are manifesting intensely, and the risk of spreading to neighboring houses is significant. Following the assessment of the situation, the authorities mobilized a number of eight fire-fighting vehicles and two SMURD ambulances to manage the intervention. Additionally, the firefighting teams are receiving support from the personnel of the volunteer emergency service. From the information available so far, no individuals have been reported trapped inside the affected homes. The intervention is ongoing, and the authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
