Eight tombstones were destroyed by four minors in the cemetery of Pilu, Arad. Three of them have been apprehended by the police.

In the locality of Pilu in Arad County, the police were notified on November 1, 2025, regarding the destruction of eight tombstones in the Catholic cemetery. The incident occurred on the night of October 31 to November 1, when the youths uprooted and laid down four monuments, broke another one and threw it by the side of the national road, while two other monuments were damaged.

Following the investigations, the police identified four minors from the locality as suspects. Two of them were detained for 20 hours, and a third for 24 hours. The investigations continue under the supervision of the case prosecutor, with a criminal case opened for grave desecration.
