According to the National Institute of Statistics, Romania recorded 1.3 million arrivals in June 2025, down 2.2% compared to 2024, with the majority of these being Romanian tourists (80.9%). In contrast, overnight stays increased slightly to 2.83 million, with Romanian tourists making up 82.7% of these. Foreign tourists rose by 7.2%, with notable increases from North and South America and Africa. In the first six months of the year, arrivals totaled 5.79 million and overnight stays 11.58 million.
