The US Embassy in Romania has appointed David Galbraith as Deputy Chief of Mission.

The United States Embassy in Romania announced on Wednesday the appointment of David Galbraith as the new Deputy Chief of Mission in Bucharest. A career diplomat and senior officer of the American Diplomatic Service, Galbraith comes with extensive international experience, having served in Colombia, Myanmar, Venezuela, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, as well as holding leadership positions in Washington, including at the State Department and the National Security Council.

The embassy emphasized that Galbraith joins the team at a time of strengthening the partnership between the USA and Romania, under the leadership of Ambassador Nirenberg. Representatives of the diplomatic mission extended a welcome message, noting that Galbraith studied the Romanian language before his arrival and is eager to speak it with partners and friends in Romania.
