The hackers exposed the personal data of 200,000 Bucharest residents on the dark web, including names, surnames, social security numbers, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers. They demanded 5 million dollars for the data. The cyber attack also targeted the audio recordings of phone calls in City Hall, as well as access to the institution's computer systems. According to a specialist, the vulnerability could be linked to an employee of the institution or those who manage the IT platforms.
