The President of the Concordia Employers' Confederation, Dan Șucu, sent a strong message to politicians at the 'Dialogue for Development – 2025' Summit, demanding discipline, coherence, and real collaboration with the private sector from the Romanian state. He emphasized that Romania cannot become a competitive economy if the rules change abruptly and highlighted that entrepreneurs do not ask for privileges, but for stability and legislative predictability.
Șucu stated that Romania has resources and capable people, but to advance towards an innovation-based economy, a coherent plan and close collaboration between the state and the private sector are essential. He stressed the importance of a long-term economic strategy, comparing it to approaches in developed countries, where planning is done over decades, not based on electoral campaigns. The event was also attended by the mayor of Bucharest, Nicușor Dan.
