Dan Șucu, the president of the Concordia Employers' Confederation, emphasized the importance of implementing the Kurzarbeit system to help companies facing economic difficulties. He stated that the increase in the minimum wage should be conditioned on the existence of a safety net for businesses that have paid their taxes on time over the years but may encounter problems in certain economic situations.
Șucu clarified that support measures should target serious companies, not allow tax exemptions for newly established firms or those that evade taxes. The Concordia Employers' Confederation has proposed a package of 20 priority measures for economic recovery, focused on strategic areas: taxation, labor market, digitalization, innovation, energy, transport, and economic diplomacy, which should be activated together with efforts to reduce the budget deficit.
