Dacia will introduce a new urban electric model this summer, estimated at a price of approximately 6,000 euros, which will compete directly with the Citroën Ami. This initiative comes in the context of legislative difficulties in Europe, which hinder the development of compact and affordable electric vehicles. The Romanian company has decided to launch a simplified model, classified in the L6e category, to reduce costs and facilitate market entry. The new vehicle will be aimed at urban travel, targeting young people over 14 years old and adults. With a range of approximately 80 km, a power of under 10 HP, and a maximum speed of 45 km/h, the model will offer an affordable alternative in the urban mobility market. Dacia aims to return to a strategy of accessible prices, with a starting price target of 5,990 €, which would mark a significant return to the threshold of 5,000 euros, an important moment for the Romanian brand.
