The Allianz Risk Barometer 2026 highlights a complex risk landscape for companies in Romania, marked by cyber incidents, legislative changes, and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence. Cyber risks remain the biggest global concern, with a significant rise in ranking, followed by artificial intelligence, which has climbed to second place.

Although most respondents believe that AI brings benefits, there are also concerns related to accountability and reputational impact. In Romania, legislative changes are perceived as a major threat, and cyber incidents continue to affect companies, including SMEs. Against the backdrop of geopolitical uncertainties and the fragility of supply chains, companies need to adopt an integrated approach to risk management, turning challenges into competitive advantages.
