The section for prosecutors of the CSM is expected to give its opinion on Tuesday regarding the appointments of Alex Florenţa and Marius Voineag to the positions of deputy heads at DIICOT and the General Prosecutor's Office, after these opinions have been postponed several times. So far, only three of the magistrates proposed by the Minister of Justice have received negative opinions.

The proposal to appoint Alex Florenţa, the current general prosecutor, as deputy chief prosecutor of DIICOT, as well as the appointment of Marius Voineag, the current head of DNA, to the position of deputy general prosecutor, have been postponed several times, resulting in a tie in the vote. Codrin-Horaţiu Miron, Viorel Cerbu, and Marius Ionel Ştefan received favorable opinions, while Cristina Chiriac, Gil Julien Grigore Iacobici, and Marinela Mincă received negative opinions.

The CSM's opinion is advisory, and the final decision belongs to President Nicuşor Dan, who mentioned that his analysis of the candidates differs from public reactions.
