The Army Sports Club Steaua officially requested FIFA and UEFA to exclude all Romanian teams and the national team from international competitions, citing the illegal activities of the Romanian Football Federation (FRF). Lawyer Florin Talpan stated that the FRF is not properly registered and requested a verification committee from both organizations.

Talpan emphasized that the FRF had enough time to comply with the law and mentioned suspicions of corruption, referring to the case of the FCSB team which was not relegated according to the rules. He also warned that if FIFA and UEFA do not take action, he will appeal to the Swiss Ministry of Justice. Additionally, Talpan has resumed a lawsuit in which CSA Steaua is seeking damages of 37 million euros from FCSB for the illegal use of the "Steaua Bucharest" trademark.
