Cristian Popescu Piedone, former head of ANPC, has been sent to trial for disclosing confidential information, after he allegedly informed a hotel in Sinaia about a planned ANPC inspection on March 7, 2025, including its objectives, thus allowing the establishment to avoid potential sanctions; the case has been sent to the Brașov Tribunal, with Piedone being under judicial control since July.
