Cristian Pîrvulescu, the dean of the Faculty of Political Science at SNSPA, believes that the collaboration between PSD and AUR for submitting a motion of censure represents a major "strategic error" that could transform the governmental crisis into a regime crisis.

He states that PSD is compromising its status as a pro-Western partner by legitimizing an extremist party. Pîrvulescu mentions the uncertainty of the parliamentary vote and the risks associated with this movement, which could lead to a "fascist drift" of PSD. He also emphasizes that the international image of PSD is severely affected, and investors are becoming nervous due to political instability.

In the event that the government falls, Pîrvulescu suggests that Ilie Bolojan could emerge strengthened, but the political future remains uncertain. The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, is seen as a bulwark against extremism, refusing to yield to pressures to appoint a government supported by AUR.

Pîrvulescu sounds the alarm about the seriousness of the situation, warning that Romania is heading towards a regime crisis.
