Former judge Cristi Danileț: "When you have magistrates who are ashamed or embarrassed to speak in private settings where they work, it means that the CSM has failed its purpose. Magistrates are not and do not feel protected."

Cristi Danileț, former judge, criticized the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) for its inability to protect judges, who feel terrorized and fearful, including in interactions with the President of Romania. In a Facebook post, he emphasizes that judges do not feel safe and that many of them post anonymously on forums out of fear. Danileț mentions that most members of the judges' section in CSM are unaware of the issues in the courts and have ignored the alarm signals from their colleagues. He accuses CSM of abuses and favoritism, including the promotion of judges from interest groups.
