Coalition presidential candidate Crin Antonescu said that George Simion's behavior during his visit to the US, where he denigrated Romania, was "embarrassing and repulsive". Antonescu also commented on the Ploiești Court of Appeal's ruling, describing it as surprising, but emphasized that it must be dealt with in the courts. He also criticized Simion's attempts to portray Romania as a tyranny and stressed that there are no serious sovereigntists in the country, only impostors.
