The Jiu Basin Water Administration announced that a person is being investigated for carrying out an illegal drilling in Craiova, from which they distributed water to two apartment blocks and several houses, collecting money for the service provided. The drilling was done without the necessary permits and legal authorizations, and the person set their own price for the water.

Additionally, they created an improvised sewage system, collecting wastewater into a large pit, without complying with environmental protection and public health regulations. Inspectors halted the illegal activity, sealed the drilled well, and reported the authorities, opening a criminal case in this matter.
