An organized criminal group, made up of Romanian and British citizens, has been dismantled following searches carried out in the counties of Buzău and Dolj, as well as in London. Members of the group, including relatives and partners, recruited young women to send them to Great Britain, where they were forced to prostitute themselves under their supervision.
DIICOT has placed a British citizen and three Romanians under preventive arrest, while two other Romanians have been placed under judicial control. Authorities have confiscated nine vehicles, including luxury ones, and have obtained relevant evidence for the investigation. Additionally, an international agreement has been signed to establish a Joint Investigation Team, facilitating cooperation between Romanian and British authorities. Investigations continue to identify other suspects involved in illegal activities.
