The government confirmed a meeting at the Victoria Palace between Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, PNL Vaslui President Mihai Barbu, and businessman Fănel Bogoș, who is under investigation by the DNA for influence peddling. The discussion, which lasted 15 minutes, had no consequences for Bogoș, according to representatives of the Executive. Bogoș is accused of orchestrating a complex mechanism to dismiss the director of DSVSA Vaslui after his farm was affected by a Salmonella outbreak. In an attempt to obtain compensation of 13 million lei, Bogoș resorted to political connections, and Mihai Barbu promised to arrange a meeting with Bolojan. Although the meeting took place, it seems that it did not yield the desired results, with Bolojan refusing to intervene in the DSVSA case. Government representatives emphasized that the Prime Minister was not aware of any benefits obtained in exchange for the audience.
