In December 2025, the company signed a contract for the preliminary design of the Bucharest-Giurgiu highway/express road, with an association of engineering firms from Romania and Turkey. The value of the contract is 34 million lei, funded by European funds. The Feasibility Study will analyze aspects such as the road profile (highway or express road), route options, and connections with other investments, including the future Bridge over the Danube at Giurgiu-Ruse. CNIR requested an analysis of construction materials, comparing the cement concrete road system with the asphalt one. The study will underpin the documentation necessary for the next design and execution tender. This highway will facilitate the connection with Bulgaria and will contribute to the modernization of road transport and connectivity between the two countries.
