The law requires that the APR does not exceed the interest rate on the credit facility practiced by the NBR for mortgage loans by more than 8 percentage points. For consumer loans, the APR may not exceed by more than 27 percentage points the NBR's lending facility interest rate. The law also sets three thresholds for consumer loans, depending on their amount.
