The man and his wife, who had mental health issues, lived in a social apartment and turned off the heating. Concerned neighbors called an ambulance, but the two refused help. Later, the man was found dead. The police opened a criminal case for manslaughter, and the woman was taken in by relatives. Additionally, at the Buzău County Emergency Hospital, three people were hospitalized for hypothermia, including a 73-year-old woman found on the street. Specialists warn about the risks of prolonged exposure to cold and recommend protective measures for the elderly and people with chronic conditions.
