The National Institute of Hydrology has announced a code yellow for floods, valid from 12:00 to 24:00, in 17 counties. Rapid floods and dangerous increases in the flow of small rivers are expected, with maximum intensity between 16:00 and 21:00. People are advised to avoid flood-prone areas and make sure ditches around homes are clear. Forecasters have also issued a warning of atmospheric instability, with possible heavy showers and thunderstorms.
